Everyone’s dancin’ in Down

A highlight of our programme this Autumn is our arts council lottery funded community dance programme which will culminate in an exciting community dance week from 23-28 November.

One of the UK’s best-known hip-hop artists, Banxy, will be coming over to give workshops on 27 and 28 November (see our programme for details) as well as a performance of Ikky Waak at Down Arts Centre on 28 November.

Local choreographers Annika Graham and Jenny Rooney will produce a youth dance showcase, there’ll be tea dances in Killyleagh and Downpatrick, set dancing in Strangford, and a chance to sample Bollywood/Bangra dance in Newcastle!
